Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a thorough medical system used for over 2,000 years to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness. According to TCM, yin and yang have opposing energies, such as winter and summer, earth and heaven, and pleasure and sorrow. When yin and yang are in harmony, one feels both calm and energised. However, when out of balance, yin and yang are detrimental to your health.

Practitioners also believe everybody possesses a vital force or energy known as qi. For yin and yang to be in harmony and for the body to be healthy, qi must be in harmony and effortlessly circulating. When there is too little or too much qi, or when the passage of qi is obstructed, illness results. The ultimate aim of TCM treatment is to promote the natural flow of qi to achieve yin-yang balance.

The following are some of the most common TCM treatment options available.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a treatment used by qualified TCM practitioners that involves the implantation of extremely fine, pre-sterilised, single-use stainless steel needles at pre-determined locations on the body’s surface (referred to as “acupuncture points”) to promote or restore health and wellness.

In the hands of a qualified professional, acupuncture is completely risk-free and devoid of adverse effects. It has withstood the test of time for countless millennia without faltering.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a form of thermal therapy that is employed when necessary by a qualified TCM practitioner. A substance known as “moxa” is applied to a specific area or acupuncture point in order to administer the treatment cart for pen. This applies heat to the area for therapeutic purposes.

Dietary Therapy

In TCM terms, this form of treatment is a highly sophisticated and ancient speciality, unlike any modern Western equivalent. It entails cautious monitoring of food and drink consumption in order to prevent disease and accelerate recovery. To promote healing and improve health, the TCM practitioner may advise a patient on the type of food consumed, the time and manner in which it is consumed, or how it is prepared.

Medical Counsel

This is an essential component of TCM treatment and focuses on removing lifestyle or daily living factors contributing to the onset or prolongation of a health complaint. Alternatively, the client may be instructed on positively promoting active health and increasing well-being through lifestyle modifications. Checkout cannabis consulting companies.

This form of instruction unique to TCM does not exist in western medicine.

Medical Qigong

Medical Qigong is used by qualified TCM practitioners with specialised training. Unlike all other treatment methods, it does not involve using instruments or medications. Instead, it entails using the practitioner’s Qi to create or restore the client’s Qi’s harmonious and seamless flow, thereby restoring health and well-being.
